ABOUT

Danielle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico. Danielle earned a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University and earned an additional certification in Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention. Danielle specializes in providing individual psychotherapy to adults. Although she is skilled in utilizing various therapy modalities, she is passionate about EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. Danielle sought out training in EMDR soon after experiencing it herself and noticing how much it positively impacted her life in such a short amount of time. Danielle became passionate about sharing the offerings of EMDR with her therapy clients. As a therapist, she has witnessed numerous individuals experience the positive changes that EMDR facilitates.
In her office, Danielle feels it is important to create an environment and therapeutic relationship with each of her clients that feels safe and supportive. She personally knows what it’s like to be on the other side of the equation, sharing her personal thoughts and feelings with a seemingly stranger. She feels privileged to be able to go on a journey with her clients as they gain a greater understanding of who they are, while they shift into into living a more authentic meaningful life. Danielle practices in this field because she believes people don’t have to stay stuck in the same negative narrative. People don’t have to go through life feeling constantly triggered, unworthy, sad, anxious, scared or depressed. People don’t have to keep listening to that voice in their head telling them that they aren’t good enough or that they aren’t lovable. Taking that first step into therapy can take courage, but gaining back one's life is worth it.
Danielle can help to facilitate a process towards healing; to shift away from continuing to listen to that negative inner critic. It’s never too late to start!
When Danielle is not in the office with clients, she enjoys spending time with her dogs hiking in the mountains. She loves the company of friends and family, but she is also a seeker of solitude. She has had the privilege of traveling the world, immersing herself in other cultures. Her travels allowed her to gain an appreciation for how people are so different, but so fundamentally the same. Danielle considers herself an empathetic and passionate person. Growing up, she was able to pour her passion into playing soccer up to the collegiate level. She now channels that passion into helping others live their best life possible.
